Federal prosecutors announced that a chiropractor who accepted kickbacks from Pacific Hospital of Long Beach and solicited kickbacks from another hospital was sentenced to 14 months in prison.
Brian Carrico, 68, was sentenced Friday. He pleaded guilty in February to one count of soliciting kickbacks while his medical companies, Performance Medical & Rehab Center Inc. and One Accord Management Inc., each pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to solicit kickbacks.
In addition to the prison sentence, Carrico was fined $25,000. Each of his medical companies was fined $250,000.
