Injuries incurred while coaching an employee volleyball team and picking up a spaghetti dinner for a fundraiser are both compensable, a New York appellate court decided last week in separate decisions.The state Supreme Court Appellate Division, 3rd Department, awarded benefits to claimants in Nichols v. Hale Creek ASACTC et al. (Case No. 512258) and in Potter v. VM Paolozzi Imports et al. (Case No. 512634).
