The New York State Workers’ Compensation Board announced the rollout of the second phase of its new business information system, OnBoard, for durable medical equipment.
As of Monday, prior authorization requests for DME must be submitted electronically.
The board said the third phase of the rollout will come in May and include prior authorization requests for other medical treatment and testing.
The first phase of OnBoard was launched March 7, when it became mandatory to electronically submit prior authorization requests for medications.
