President Joe Biden, speaking at the National Summit on Fire Prevention and Control, called on lawmakers to send him a bill that would create a presumption that certain health conditions are compensable injuries for federal firefighters.
Biden talked about federal efforts to protect firefighters from so-called “forever chemicals” — perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS.
