A California psychologist who pleaded guilty to submitting more than 1,000 falsified bills to the federal Office of Workers' Compensation Programs was sentenced to four months in prison and ordered to pay $496,101 in restitution, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.
Helena Weil, 64, pleaded guilty to a single count of falsifying billing records in July 2014. She was sentenced April 22 during proceedings at the federal court in San Francisco.
