Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a bill increasing the cap on permanent partial disability benefits and allowing general contractors to provide comp coverage for their subcontractors.
The governor on Friday signed Senate Bill 642, which increases the maximum permanent partial disability award to $375 from $360, effective July 1.
In addition to the nearly 4% increase in benefits, the bill also allows general contractors to execute written agreements with subcontractors to provide workers’ compensation coverage.
