Ned Gaines Named Insurance Commissioner

Department of Business and Industry Director Kristopher Sanchez appointed Ned Gaines as Commissioner of the Nevada Division of Insurance, effective Oct. 6. Gaines has served in the position in an acting capacity since July 2 and has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining the Nevada Division of Insurance as chief deputy commissioner in April, he served 12 years with the Washington State Department of the Insurance Commissioner.
