A Utah lawmaker is proposing a new test to determine when THC intoxication is presumed to be a major contributing cause of a workplace injury.
HB 281, by Rep. Walt Brooks, R-St. George, would require blood tests instead of urine screening.
A whole blood level of delta-9 THC or a THC analog in excess of 20 nanograms per milliliter of blood would trigger the rebuttable presumption that intoxication was a major contributing cause of a workplace injury, under the bill.
