The rate of nonfatal workplace injuries in Montana fell in 2018 to 3.9 per 100 workers in private industry, but remained higher than the national injury rate, according to a report from the Montana Department of Labor & Industry.
Montana’s rate of nonfatal workplace injuries last year was a decrease from 4.3 per 100 workers in 2017. The decrease seen in Montana from 2017 to 2018 was in contrast to the national injury rate, which held steady at 2.8 per 100 workers in both years.
