Old Republic Net Income up 45% in Q4

Old Republic International Corp. on Thursday reported fourth quarter net income of $131.9 million, a 45% increase from $90.6 million in the same quarter of 2015. For the full year, Old Republic’s net income was $467 million, up 10% from $422 million in 2015. In the general insurance group, net premiums earned were up slightly in the fourth quarter, to $743.5 million as compared to $737.4 million in the prior year quarter.
