MedRisk Acquires Select Provider Networks

MedRisk has acquired Select Provider Networks Inc., a specialty network of physicians and occupational therapists who treat injured workers. Select Provider Networks, founded by Select Medical in 2008, offers payers a prospective rehabilitation program to control costs for physical medicine. The program includes a peer-to-peer utilization management system, MedRisk said in a statement. The company will retain its name and operate independently, MedRisk announced.
