Court Reinstates Denial of PTD Award for Worker With Opioid Addiction

The Iowa Court of Appeals ruled that a trial judge erred in overturning a decision of the workers’ compensation commissioner denying permanent total disability benefits for an employee dealing with an addiction to opioid medication.
