The Missouri Court of Appeals ruled that a police officer’s incapacitation was the exclusive result of her duty-related injury. Case: Hauck v. The Police Retirement System of St. Louis, No. ED113098, 09/02/2025, published. Facts: Alana Hauck served the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department for over 20 years. While responding to a protest in July 2017, Hauck was struck in the left arm by an unknown object.
