The Montana Workers’ Compensation Court ruled that the last employer responsible for exposing a worker to asbestos was liable for the payment of death benefits to the man's widow. Case: Atchley v. Louisiana Pacific Corp., No. 2014-3383, 09/26/2018. Facts and procedural history: Edward Atchley served in the U.S. Navy between 1951 and 1955. He worked in an engine room, and part of his job was repairing lagging, which contained asbestos. After he left the Navy, Edward moved to Libby, Montana. At the time, W.R.
