Incident rates of total recordable nonfatal injuries and illnesses among private-sector workers rebounded to 2.1% in 2021 after falling to 2% in 2020, according to a new report by the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation.
Even with the increase, the average of 2.1 incidents per 100 full-time equivalent workers in Texas is lower than the national average of 2.7 for both 2020 and 2021.
