Insurance Industry Job Growth Slows to 800 in March

Employment growth within the insurance industry slowed during March, when only 800 jobs were added, according to preliminary figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The gain was a decrease from the 2,700 jobs added in February, Jay Rollins, owner of the insurance employment website InsuranceJobs.com, said in the company’s blog. Over the past 12 months, the insurance industry has gained an average of 3,850 jobs a month, Rollins noted.
