Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed a bill extending through the end of June a presumption that COVID-19 is compensable for first responders and other frontline workers.
Pritzker on Friday enacted House Bill 4276, by Rep. Jay Hoffman, D-Belleville, which takes effect immediately and resurrects a COVID-19 presumption that expired at the end of 2020.
The presumption created by HB 4276 would cover workers who contract the disease between the end of 2020 through June 30.
