New York next month will become the second state to use virtual technology in judicial hearings before workers’ compensation administrative law judges.
The Workers’ Compensation Board said Thursday it is moving forward with the virtual hearings initiative beginning Nov. 13 in Albany and eventually will roll out the concept statewide.
The trial and defense bars remain skeptical and question why the board would move forward when it hasn’t yet released the results of a recent four-day pilot project in Albany.
