ORLANDO, Fla. — The turbulence predicted by the National Council on Compensation Insurance last year didn’t really materialize in 2015, which was a good year for work comp by most measures. But an economy in flux and a moribund investment market could mean the captain will be keeping the seat belt light on for a little longer.
Whereas the phrase used to describe the national workers’ compensation market last year was “calm now, but turbulence ahead,” the catchphrase for the 2016 Annual Issues Symposium that wraps up Friday is “transforming.”...
