DWC Announces Increase in Mileage Rate

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that the mileage rate for medical and medical-legal travel expenses will increase 2.5 cents to 58.5 cents per mile, effective Jan. 1. The increased rate must be paid for travel after the start of the new year regardless of the date of injury, the DWC said in a Newsline released Tuesday.
