Extension of COVID-19 Presumption First Bill Passed in Session

The first bill Minnesota lawmakers passed since returning to the Capitol at the end of January would extend the presumption that COVID-19 is compensable for frontline workers. Gov. Tim Walz in April 2021 signed a bill extending through the end of the year the presumption covering doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, police, correctional officers and child care workers.
