Manufacturer Fined $87K After Untrained Worker Burned While Changing Fuse

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing $87,000 in penalties against a Pennsylvania manufacturer after an employee suffered second- and third-degree burns to his face, arms and hands. OSHA on Dec. 8 issued citations for one willful and three serious health and safety violations to ACF Industries, which manufactures specialty railcar parts and steel products at its plant in Milton.
