Bay Area Man Gets Jail for Workers' Comp Fraud

A Daly City electrician will serve 60 days in jail after pleading no contest to workers’ compensation insurance fraud, the California Department of Insurance announced Tuesday. Michael Ray Williams, 37, also was sentenced to three years’ probation after he worked for multiple employers while collecting more than $85,000 in workers’ comp benefits from two insurance carriers, the department said in a news release.
