Keches Firm Says Arrangement Was Legal and Kickback Law Does Not Apply to Workers' Comp

One of the largest claimants' law firms in Massachusetts is asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit the state attorney general filed alleging it accepted kickbacks in return for referring injured workers to a mail-order pharmacy. The Keches Law Group, which sees more than 700 new claimants per month and files more than 4,000 cases each year, called the attorney general's allegations “scandalous” and damaging to the law firm.
