Employer Liable for Worker's Medical Bills, but Sanctions Not Warranted

The Missouri Court of Appeals ruled that an employer was liable for a worker’s medical bills for treatment it had refused to cover but that it should not have been sanctioned for its conduct. Case: Erwin v. Midway Arms Inc., No. WD87161, 03/04/2025, published. Facts: Michael Erwin worked for Midway Arms Inc. He injured his back while loading a truck at work in January 2017.
