COVID-19 workers’ comp claims in California fell to a 16-month low in June, but the system has struggled with delayed reporting of COVID-related claims since the end of 2020, according to a new bulletin from the California Workers’ Compensation Institute.
Despite a recent increase in COVID-19 cases due to the virus’s delta variant, CWCI reports 453 claims were filed in June. That beats the previous low of 668 claims reported in May.
