AG Announces $15M Settlement With OptumRx for Alleged Overcharges

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced that OptumRx agreed to repay the state $15 million to resolve allegations of overcharging for drugs prescribed to injured workers. OptumRx did not admit wrongdoing or any liability. The Attorney General’s Office in 2019 filed a lawsuit against OptumRx, the pharmacy benefit manager for the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, claiming the Irvine, California-based company overcharged BWC $15 million from January 2015 through October 2018.
