NCCI Files 0.3% Loss Cost Decrease, Says State Better Off Than Most

By Bill Kidd, Central Bureau ChiefAUSTIN, Texas – The National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) reported on Wednesday it has filed for a 0.3% reduction in workers’ compensation loss costs for Texas, to take effect June 1, 2012.Lori Lovgren, NCCI state executive for Texas, reported at the council’s state advisory forum that Texas’ workers’ compensation system remains healthier that the comp systems in most states, in part because of better economic conditions in Texas.
