NCCI: Average Prescription Drug Costs Increase 6%

Average prescription drug costs per active claim increased 6% in 2014, driven by higher payments for both generic and brand-name medications as well as higher costs associated with physician dispensing and controlled substances, according to data from the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
