A Southern California man could face more than a decade in prison after pleading guilty to workers’ compensation fraud, according to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.
Contractor David Burgmeier, 53, of Simi Valley, pleaded guilty Tuesday to eight felony counts related to insurance fraud after he lied for years about the number of employees he had and the size of the payroll, the District Attorney's Office said in a news release.
