A model law being developed by a national organization of state legislators would address what many consider to be two of the biggest issues in workers’ comp pharmacy: physician dispensing and compounded medications.
The model law, still in a draft form, is a project of the National Council of Insurance Legislators, or NCOIL. It will be the topic of discussion for the NCOIL workers’ compensation committee when the organization holds its spring meeting in Atlanta March 2-4.
