Two years after the Pennsylvania Supersedeas Fund notified insurers that it was running as much as 16 months behind in sending reimbursement checks, the delays and the fund's financial picture appear to have worsened.
The fund, set up to reimburse insurers that had overpaid on claims, recently alerted carriers and their attorneys that it would not be able to send refunds until the end of the third and fourth quarters of this year.
