A New York appellate court ruled that a worker should have been granted partial summary judgment on his Labor Law claim for falling while climbing down a scaffold. Case: Ortiz v. City of New York, No. 153705/19, 02/29/2024, published. Facts: Luis Ortiz fell approximately 4 feet as he attempted to descend from an outrigger platform on a scaffold by climbing down the cross bracing.
