Warehouse Worker Arraigned on Fraud Charges

A warehouse worker in Buttonwillow was arraigned on multiple felony counts of workers’ compensation insurance fraud for allegedly failing to disclose previous occupational injuries, the California Department of Insurance announced. Crescencio Velasco Covarrubias, 45, said he injured his left ankle, foot, heel and back while sweeping at the retail warehouse center where he worked in June 2017.
