More than a quarter of the nonfatal injuries and illnesses reported by private-sector employers in 2018 resulted in days away from work, according to a report the Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation published Thursday.
Out of 177,977 injuries reported last year, 51,250 required time off work. The result is an incident rate of 58.7 nonfatal injuries requiring days off work per 10,000 full-time employees.
