L.A. County DA Charges Sheriff's Deputy With Workers' Comp Fraud

A Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy has been charged with workers’ compensation fraud, prosecutors announced Monday. Kevin Adams, 47, of Covina, faces one count of workers’ comp insurance fraud, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release. Prosecutors said the alleged fraud began in 2015 when Adams filed a false claim for a workplace injury and started receiving benefits.
