The Utah Court of Appeals ruled that an automobile mechanic was not entitled to temporary or permanent total disability benefits for his injuries from catching a transmission that was falling from a vehicle on an overhead lift.
Carlos Zepeda worked as a mechanic for Reliable Auto Mechanics. Oct. 10, 2014, he was repairing the transmission of a vehicle that was raised on a lift when the transmission began to fall.
