Bills Would Require WCB to Translate Certain Documents

The New York Workers’ Compensation Board would be required to translate forms and informational documents, under a pair of bills introduced in the state Legislature. Senate Bill 7843, by Sen. Jessica Ramos, D-Queens, and identical companion measure Assembly Bill 8791, by Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, D-Flushing, would require the board to translate all documents it publishes that injured workers fill out. The bills would also require the board to translate all documents that provide general information to injured workers about the process of applying for workers’ compensation benefits...
