Kansas, a state that has seen a decade of cuts to workers’ compensation benefits, could become a little more worker-friendly after today, regardless of whether the Republican or the Democratic candidate wins the governor’s seat.
That’s because Republican Kris Kobach, who otherwise is considered a pro-business candidate, has endorsed the more-generous fourth edition of the American Medical Association’s impairment rating guides.
Ditto for his opponent, Democrat Laura Kelly. Recent polls show them in a virtual dead heat heading into today’s election.
