The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is proposing a 10% rate cut for private employers that would take effect July 1.
“At the request of Gov. (Mike) DeWine, we are proposing a new rate reduction for private employers,” BWC CEO and Administrator Stephanie McCloud said in a statement. “This proposed rate reduction confirms the dedication and hard work Ohio’s private employers have toward workplace safety.”
The BWC board of directors will consider the rate reduction during a Feb. 25 meeting.
