A bill introduced to provide full-pay salary continuation benefits to park rangers in Sacramento was amended to make eligibility for the enhanced benefits contingent on the population of the county in which the park ranger is employed.
The amendments Sen. Angelique Ashby, D-Sacramento, made to SB 8 on Thursday don't change the net effect of the measure, as it would still add only those park rangers employed by Sacramento County to the list of first responders eligible for salary continuation benefits under Labor Code Section 4850.
