Many nonprofits struggle to raise funds to help all the people who need their services. Kids’ Chance, an organization that provides scholarships to children of workers severely injured or killed on the job, is having the opposite problem.
The nonprofit finds it relatively easy to raise money, but is looking for ways to reach more students who qualify for the scholarships.
“Raising the money is not the hardest part,” said Suzanne Emmet, a board member with Kids’ Chance of America. “It’s a unique and wonderful position to be in.”
