OSHA Proposes Delay to Effective Date of Beryllium Rule

The U.S. Department of Labor has proposed an additional delay to the effective date of the occupational beryllium exposure rule, to May 20 rather than March 21. The DOL’s announcement on Tuesday follows a White House memorandum issued on Jan. 20, which directed the department to undertake a review of any new or pending regulations and temporarily postpone the date that they would take effect.
