New York Insurance Association Elects 2016 Chair

Steven J. Coffey, president and CEO of Broome Co-operative Insurance Co., has been elected chairman of the New York Insurance Association for 2016. Coffey was elected during the association’s annual meeting in November. NYIA is a state trade association that represents the property and casualty insurance industry. Coffey has served on the NYIA board of directors since 2011. He’s been an officer of the association since 2012, most recently as first vice chair.
