Three-quarters of the claims filed for COVID-19 were accepted as of Monday, according to data from the Oregon Workers’ Compensation Division.
Data the WCD provided to the Management-Labor Advisory Committee shows that of the 1,971 total claims filed during the covered time period, 1,499 were accepted and 472 were denied.
The most common reason claims were denied was the employer or carrier said the injury was not compensably related to employment.
