California is going its own way in implementing a workers' compensation drug formulary, a review of draft rules released by the Division of Workers' Compensation on Friday shows.
While Texas set a strict two-year deadline for transitioning patients from non-preferred drugs to preferred drugs, the California DWC is proposing to allow doctors to set their own timelines for weaning their patients off drugs that are not on the preferred list.
