Framework Announced for Pinnacol Modernization

Pinnacol Assurance, together with a handful of Colorado business and labor groups, on Thursday announced the framework for a modernization project that they plan to pursue through the Legislature rather than the ballot initiative process. Pinnacol would remain a quasi-state agency, continue to serve as Colorado's insurer of last resort, and its staff would remain in the Public Employees' Retirement Association, under the terms of the agreement.
