Lawmakers Propose PTSD Coverage for Probation, Correctional Workers

Probation and correctional workers in Florida would be entitled to receive workers’ compensation benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder under a pair of bills introduced ahead of the 2022 legislative session. The identical companion measures would also add part-time law enforcement officers and auxiliary officers to the definition of “first responder” for the purposes of PTSD coverage.
