NCCI Proposing Audit Noncompliance Charge

Employers that refuse to allow their workers' compensation insurer to audit their payroll could be forced to pay an audit noncompliance charge that might double their premium under a rule proposed by the National Council on Compensation Insurance. The Texas Department of Insurance gave notice Wednesday that NCCI is proposing to add Item B-1429 to its Basic Manual, Forms Manual and Statistical Manual for Workers' Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance.
