COVID-19 claims processing has been delayed because of a lack of medical documentation, and New York State Workers' Compensation Board is asking for some assistance, its chairwoman said in an open letter to insurers.
“For COVID-19 claims, the board is not receiving the timely medical documentation required in order to establish a claim, and we need your help in doing so,” Chairwoman Clarissa Rodriguez wrote Friday in the letter to carriers, self-insurers and claims administrators.
